Per-line value versus total bet
In a line-based slot, the total may depend on line count, coin value and coins per line. Changing one control can alter the stake without changing the artwork. Pragmatic Play names Cash Elevator as a 20-payline title, illustrating why the line count belongs to a specific game.
Imagine a separate hypothetical 20-line slot with two coins per line, each coin worth 0.2 credit. The total cost of one spin is 20 × 2 × 0.2, or eight credits. Two paid spins cost 16 before returns. These assumed settings are not Cash Elevator's stake configuration.
Read the paytable, not the near miss
A line win requires the arrangement specified by the named game's paytable. Two matching symbols that stop outside a paying line may not qualify. Wild and scatter symbols can have different jobs; neither should be assigned a universal payout without the version's instructions.
A feature may start after a qualifying pattern and run across additional spins. Separate any new paid action from a feature round that charges no extra stake. A busy animation does not tell you the net result until the award is credited.
Gross award and net balance
Suppose the two illustrative spins above return five credits in total. Sixteen were deducted and five returned, so the balance falls by eleven credits if nothing else happened. A screen can truthfully show a five-credit win while the two-spin sequence still loses eleven.
Check the account balance only after the spin or feature has fully ended. If it is unclear whether an extra action was charged, the transaction or game-history view is a better record than the reel animation.
Questions about games
Is the coin value the same as the total slot stake?
No. In a line-based configuration, multiply coin value by coins per line and the active line count, then confirm the displayed total bet.
Does a matching symbol anywhere on screen win?
No. The named game's paytable states which positions and combinations qualify.
Can a five-credit win coexist with a loss?
Yes. If two spins cost 16 credits in total and return five, the net change is minus eleven credits.
